What are cookies?
How do we use cookies?
Types of Cookies we use
- Some of our websites are behind CloudFlare’s web firewall service. CloudFlare sets a single cookie (__cfduid) in your browser so that it can track your movements and behaviour in order to mitigate against potentially damaging activity as is commonly perpetrated by some nefarious characters. CloudFlare’s full cookie policy can be accessed here: https://www.cloudflare.com/cookie-policy/ (however please note that, where used, we ONLY utilise their __cfduid cookie on our websites.)
- Some of our websites display adverts provided by Google – in order to display relevant ads, Google uses a number of cookies to discern your behaviour and hence try to work out what you might be interested in seeing.
- On some of our websites, third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visit(s) to our website(s) and/or other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit(s) to our site(s) and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings. (Alternatively, you can opt out of third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.)
- On some of our websites we use Google’s “Custom Search Engine” (CSE) to allow you to search the content of the website. When using this feature, Google may set a number of cookies on behalf of our website and themselves in order to improve your experience. For full details of Google CSE click here.
- On some of our websites we use third-party app “Google Maps” to display location map information. Unless you opt-out (see below), Google will set cookies when you view such information.
- On some of our websites we use third-party monitoring system Google Analytics to monitor user traffic as they navigate around. Google makes this data available to us in an aggregate way and not in any way that we could personally identify any particular user or user action.
